We performed Nielsen’s Wind Quintet Op.43, Mozart’s Piano Quartet K452, and Poulenc’s Sextet, joined by pianist Michael Dussek as part of the Oxford Chamber Music Society’s series.

Brickwall Music and Arts Society Concert

Our concert at Brickwall Music and Arts Society included Nielsen’s Wind Quintet Op.43, as well as several arrangements of works Mozart originally composed for mechanical instruments.  These arrangements have been made especially for us by some of today’s leading composers, including Sally Beamish, Martin Butler, Philip Cashian and Julian Philips.

The New London Chamber Ensemble ran a workshop with students at Canford School on Friday 3rd October 2014, followed by an evening concert for Canford Music Society. The concert programme will include a dynamic semi-staged performance of Berio’s ‘Opus Number Zoo’, as well as Debussy’s ‘Petite Suite’ and Nielsen’s Wind Quintet Op.43.

Cheltenham Festival 2014

The New London Chamber Ensemble performed a ‘Mechanical Mozart’-themed programme., including Philip Cashian’s ‘Settala’s Machine’ and Mozart’s Serenade No.10 ‘Gran Partita’, for which they were joined by students from London’s Royal Academy of Music.

‘TELLING TALES’ at Kings Place, London

The New London Chamber Ensemble performed a family programme, TELLING TALES, including Prokofiev’s famous Peter and the Wolf, Martin Butler’s Dirty Beasts, based on Roald Dahl’s rhymes, Saint-Saens’s Carnival of the Animals, and Berio’s captivating Opus No. Zoo.
